Nickelodeon encourages youth to share their "Nickfluence"

Very few brands can claim to have the individuality that Nickelodeon brings to the market. Celebrating 25 years of original animation, Nickelodeon partnered with the Get Schooled Foundation to launch the Nickfluence Animation Challenge. This contest—designed and developed by 70 Main Street—challenged youth across the USA to create an original short that shows how Nickelodeon influenced their character.

70 Main Street designed and managed the rollout of four contest phases: Pre-Registration, Submission, View & Vote, Semi-finalists Announced, Winners Announced. For each phase, we used various Nickelodeon characters to communicate the subject matter in a fun and quirky manner that is distinctly Nickelodeon.

The contest website was built entirely by 70 Main Street to be custom to Nickelodeon: no third-party contest frameworks were used. Features included Contest Details pages (homepage, prizes, rules, FAQs), Video Submission and Application functionality, Video Galleries and Players, Public Voting functionality, and a moderation/judging platform.

Submissions were received from High School and College students across America. Congrats to @DePaulU student @DawnAdepoju for her winning short ( see it on YouTube ). Dawn won a $25,000 scholarship for her masterpiece!
